June 13, 2012, Gold Kropn signed contract with Xinxiang Medical College to conduct MCP animal tests. Dr. Wenbo Zhang and his colleague carry out experiments to test modified citrus pectin (MCP)’s property and anti-tumor activity.
The results showed that, MCP is a homogeneous polysaccharide, with molecular weight of about 21,000 ~ 66,000, uronic acid content 81.0%, degree of esterification 2.13%.
They choose 3 mice transplanted tumor model to analysis MCP’s effect on anti-tumor growth. The results showed that, MCP has a strong inhibitory effect on liver cancer H22 cells, the inhibition rate reaches 47.8% under high dose; the inhibition rate of cervical cancer U14 cell reaches 36.5% and 38.5% under high dose and moderate dose respectively; there’s no inhibitory activity towards sarcoma S180. MCP’s inhibitory function on liver cancer and cervical cancer was first-time discovered.
